Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist - The Program

The Eucharist program that we plan to implement at St. Michael's Parish is entitled "Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist."  This program is a perfect blend of storytelling to fire the imagination, personal testimony to stir the soul, and theological instruction to inform the intellect. This lively and compelling series on the central reality of the Catholic religion is ideal for catechists, teachers, parents of children preparing for First Communion, and anyone who finds himself longing to love Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament more but not knowing where to begin.
”Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist" explores the truth and beauty of Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist, from its origins in Sacred Scripture, to its profound role in the life of the Church and its members. 
We plan to offer "Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist" during the season of Lent (2024).

Why Do We Need a Program about the Eucharist?

Although the Eucharist appears to be simple bread and wine, it is actually the “source and summit” of the Christian life.  We live in an age that does not orient the heart toward mystery. As a consequence, too many Catholics approach the Holy Eucharist with—let's be honest—indifference.
Recent surveys indicate that less than 40% of Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is actually present in Communion at Mass.  This is a cornerstone of our faith and the leadership of the Church has asked that we undertake significant efforts to support the belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

How to Register for the Program

Registration will be available starting on Saturday, January 20 and ending on Friday, February 2.

How to Register Via Workstation or Smartphone

1. On your workstation or smartphone, go to the St. Michael’s website (http://www.smlj.org)
2. On the main page, on the menu at the top of the page, select “News & Events”
3. Select “Presence: The Mystery of the Eucharist” (brings you to the Program main page)
4. Scroll Down the Page to “How to Register for the Program”, then “Via Workstation or Smartphone” Select the hyperlink for the Registration page (http://www.smlj.org/presence-sign-up-2)
5. Contact information for a team representative is at the top of the form, in case you need assistance
6. Go down the page entering in all fields requested
7. When finished hit “Submit” Your data will be saved to our registration team and you will receive a confirmation of what you submitted
8. Once you are assigned to a group, you will receive an email notification of your group information

How to Register Via Manual Form

1. Download the Manual Registration Form
2. Print out and Fill Out the Form
3. It is Recommended to retain a copy for you to refer to going forward
4. Submit the Completed Form to the Parish Office
5. (use copier or printer, or take a picture with your smartphone)
