Go HERE to read what the Church teaches about the Sacrament of Baptism, as expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Baptisms are celebrated during all of the Sunday masses (5:30 p.m. Sat., 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., & 11:00 a.m. Sun.), or after the 5:30 p.m. Sat. or 11:00 a.m. Sun. masses.
The parish office [phone] MUST be contacted in advance to schedule a baptism.

Parents are required to attend Baptismal Preparation classes before their child may be baptized.  Godparents are also encouraged to attend.  Because the classes are held every month, it is suggested that the Preparation classes be taken at least 2-3 months prior to the anticipated date of their child's Baptism.  Classes are held:
-  Classes every month except December on the 3rd Tuesday
-  Classes begin at 7:00 p.m. in the church
-  Pre-registration required
-  A nursery will be provided, but prior notification of the parish office [phone]
is necessary to assure the availability of nursery personnel

The church requires at least one Godparent.  Most parents select two for their child, but more may be chosen.  All Godparents should be excellent Christian role models for the child.  However, at least one Godparent must be a confirmed and practicing Catholic, in good standing with the church.  If possible, Godparents are encouraged to attend Baptismal Preparation classes along with the parents.
For answers to any questions about Godparent selection, please contact the parish office [phone].
